El Salvador Coffee Link is an independent initiative led by Heidy Cruz, with over 20 years of experience in the sector. I decided to create a real, human and trustworthy bridge between producers and international buyers.
My story in coffee began at PROCAFÉ, a key technical institution for Salvadoran coffee growing. At the Salvadoran Coffee Council (now Salvadoran Coffee Institute) I strengthened my knowledge of national coffee promotion. With Boot Coffee (Willem Boot) I took part in projects in Honduras, Peru, El Salvador and the Coffee for Peace program in Colombia. I have worked with CBI, EUROCLIMA+, IILA Italy, GIZ, among others.
I have met small, medium and large producers from all six coffee regions of El Salvador, building relationships with over 400 to 500 producers and organizations. I work in a close, honest and personalized way: so that every connection creates value, trust and shared development.
My purpose: That every cup tells a real story, and that every producer is valued for their dedication, knowledge and connection to the land.
